Job summary

Dimock Center is seeking an Addiction Medicine Provider (MD) for on-call, weekday, and weekend coverage at its ATS unit. You will conduct admissions assessments, manage withdrawal protocols, and initiate methadone or buprenorphine therapies as indicated.

The role requires MA licensure, BLS, and DEA registration, with at least two years in Internal or Emergency Medicine and experience serving vulnerable populations. Flexible shifts support a community-focused mission.

Qualifications

• MD with MA medical license and BLS certification.
• Minimum 2 years in Adult Internal Medicine or Emergency Medicine.
• At least 1 year experience with vulnerable populations.
• MA DPH-DCP Prescriptive Authority and Federal DEA registration.
• Full COVID-19 vaccination required.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive medical assessments, histories, exams, and triage.
• Monitor response to medications and revise care plans.
• Deliver respectful, trauma-informed, patient-centered care.
• Document encounters meticulously.
• Collaborate with leadership, case managers, and behavioral health staff.
• Contribute to practice guidelines and quality initiatives.
• Participate in on-call triage and orders as needed.
