This role requires strong analytical skills and knowledge of hospital protocols. Candidates should have experience with trauma registry and ICD-10 coding. The Fairview Trauma Informatics Specialist is responsible for the accurate collection, analysis, abstraction, maintenance and reporting of data for the trauma department in accordance with national and state regulatory and accrediting bodies. Utilizing strong analytical, cognitive and leadership skills, the Trauma Informatics Specialist analyzes, validates and reports on collected data for research, epidemiology, prevention initiatives and performance improvement. This position works in a matrix or service line environment and requires knowledge of hospital protocols and systems as well as excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
