Job summary

CHRISTUS Health in Tyler, TX seeks a registered nurse capable of independent practice in a clinical setting. You will provide routine and complex care, using the nursing process and delegating as appropriate to other care providers during shifts from 7PM to 7AM.

Requirements include RN license in Texas or compact, BLS and ACLS certifications, and a BSN is preferred. New nurses orientation is required within 30 days of hire, and credentialing expectations are outlined by CHRISTUS Health.

Qualifications

• RN license in Texas or compact state.
• BLS certification required.
• ACLS certification required.
• BSN degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care using the nursing process, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention and evaluation for assigned patients.
• Administer medications and treatments; monitor for side-effects and effectiveness of the treatment prescribed.
• Document patient history, symptoms, medication, and care given.
• Educate patients, family members and/or care givers; identify issues and resources.
