Job summary

CHRISTUS Health in Tyler, TX is seeking a capable Registered Nurse to provide independent, patient-centered care in a clinical setting. You will perform routine and complex nursing tasks, assess needs, plan care, implement interventions, and evaluate outcomes while delegating to other team members as appropriate.

The ideal candidate holds a BSN (preferred), holds an active RN license with BLS certification, and has at least 1 year of related nursing experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing, preferred
• BLS required
• RN License in state of employment or compact
• 1 year of experience in the related nursing specialty preferred

Responsibilities

• Meets expectations of the applicable OneCHRISTUS Competencies: Leader of Self, Leader of Others, or Leader of Leaders.
• Provides nursing care utilizing the nursing process, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention and evaluation for assigned patients.
• Addresses complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patient and families.
• Administers medications and treatments; monitors side-effects and effectiveness.
• Documents patient history, symptoms, medication, and care given.
• Assesses learning needs and provides education to patients, family members and/or care givers.
