Job summary

Acclaim Health is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider – Trauma (SICU) for night shifts at John Peter Smith Hospital. The APP will work under the supervision of the Surgery/Critical Care physician, assisting with diagnosis, treatment, and inpatient care.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of HIPAA regulations.
• Ability to calculate medication dosages and analyze data.
• Ability to collaborate with trauma surgeons, intensivists, residents and staff.
• Strong communication, both written and verbal; patient education focus.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Trauma/General Surgeons and Critical Care Intensivists to coordinate care for SICU patients.
• Review patient charts to assist with diagnosis, treatment and care management.
• Refer patients as needed and ensure care aligns with JPS Health Network and Acclaim policies.
• Educate patients and families about care plans and treatments.
• Provide evidence-based, compassionate care to improve outcomes and satisfaction.
• Participate in performance improvement programs and peer review activities.
