Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of Professional Nursing (Diploma, ADN or BSN) required.
• 2 years of recent related nursing experience for external applicants; less than 2 years with CNO approval for internal applicants.
• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through AHA or Red Cross required.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care.
• Implement and monitor patient care plans.
• Serve as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
• Monitor, record, and communicate patients' conditions.
• Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.
• Assess and coordinate patients' discharge needs.
• Maintain professional growth and development through ongoing education and clinical nursing study.
