Job summary

BJC HealthCare seeks an experienced nursing leader to oversee the Trauma and Emergency Department program. This onsite role focuses on day-to-day operations, staffing, budgeting, and HR management for nursing and clerical staff within the department.

The position emphasizes strategic planning, program design, and coordination with other departments, with a focus on patient education and outcomes.

Qualifications

• BSN required
• RN license required
• 2-5 years of experience
• Supervisor experience less than 2 years (preferred 5-10 years)

Responsibilities

• Provides effective leadership of the overall management of a clinical program, including day-to-day office operations, work redesign, budget and human resource management of nursing and clerical staff.
• Oversees strategic planning, program design/implementation, marketing and finance.
• Oversee managed care contracts and informatics as needed.
• Directs operations and integrates services within the work unit and with other departments.
• Collaborates with health care team members to ensure policy compliance and high-quality patient education across the continuum of care.
