UF Health in Gainesville, FL is seeking a Surgical Technologist to join our perioperative team. You will assist the surgeon, nurse, and anesthesiologist, delivering direct patient care before, during, and after procedures, serving as instrument and circulating assistant under supervision.

We value dedicated professionals who graduated from an accredited surgical technologist program and maintain active AST, NCCT, or NBSTA certification.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a recognized surgical technologist program.
• Active certification required: AST, NCCT, or NBSTA (maintain current).
• Preferred: 0–1 year of surgical technologist experience.

Responsibilities

• The Surgical Technologist assists as a member of the surgical team who works with the surgeon, registered nurse, and anesthesiologist delivering direct patient care before, during and after surgery.
• The technologist functions as an instrument assistant and may also function as a circulating assistant under supervision of a registered nurse.
