Job summary

The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider to join the Trauma Service in Columbus. The APP collaborates with trauma surgeons and other clinicians to evaluate and manage patients across acute and inpatient settings, with emphasis on fast, evidence-based care.

Eligible candidates are licensed APRNs or PA-Cs, with relevant training and a focus on trauma or critical care.

Qualifications

• Current certificate of authority to practice as an APRN in Ohio
• Graduate of a Nurse Practitioner program qualifying to sit for national certification
• Master of Science Degree in Nursing must be completed
• 0 years of relevant experience required
• Acute Care NP preferred
• 0-2 years trauma/critical care experience preferred
• OR Masters Prepared; graduate of PA-C program qualifying to sit for NCCPA exam
• Eligibility for State of Ohio licensure as a PA-C
• 0 years of relevant experience required
• 0-2 years trauma or critical care experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Evaluation and management of trauma patients in the emergency department and inpatient setting
• Daily inpatient rounding and care coordination
• Discharge planning and collaboration with trauma surgeons and ancillary services

Education

Master of Science Degree in Nursing

Nurse Practitioner program graduate

APRN licensure in Ohio

Eligibility for State of Ohio licensure as a PA-C
