Job summary

UAB Medicine seeks an Advanced Practice Provider to join the trauma and burn teams on the Trauma floors. You will perform daily assessments, place orders, assist with discharge planning, and consult with multidisciplinary staff.

The role requires an Acute Care NP or PA-C with appropriate licensure, BLS, and ability to work 12-hour shifts, weekends, and holidays. CME allowance and weekend differential are provided as part of the compensation package.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Nursing with Acute Care NP or graduate from an accredited Physician Assistant program required.
• Current CRNP-AC or PA-C certification and state license required.
• BLS required; ACLS/PALS may be required depending on unit.

Responsibilities

• Provide medical care for surgical patients under physician direction and collaborate with the care team.
• Coordinate plan of care, discharge planning, and referrals.
• Document assessments and orders accurately and promptly.
• Assist in research protocols and contribute to quality improvement activities.
