Opportunity for an Acute Care Surgeon at Samaritan Health Services, Oregon

Samaritan Health Services is seeking a 0.8 FTE Trauma and/or Acute Care Surgeon to join a team of four surgeons in Corvallis, Oregon. We are looking for a dynamic, enthusiastic individual passionate about trauma and acute care surgery, eager to learn new technology, and capable of serving as a positive role model for resident trainees.

About Good Samaritan Regional Medical Center

This 188-bed medical facility in Corvallis is the city's only hospital, serving as a Level II trauma center. It provides exceptional primary and specialty care across the mid-Willamette Valley and Central Oregon coast, serving approximately 300,000 residents across multiple counties. Our team is dedicated to building healthier communities through compassionate, world-class healthcare.

Job Details
  1. 70 24-hour shifts annually (including weekends and weekdays), plus 50 weekday 10-hour rounding shifts
  2. No elective cases
  3. 20-bed ICU
  4. Level II Trauma Center
  5. Rotating schedule for 24-hour coverage
  6. Collaborate with surgical residents and medical students
Qualifications
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible
  • 3-5 years of surgical experience preferred
  • Surgical or Critical Care Fellowship required
  • ATLS and BCLS certification
  • Eligibility to work in the United States
