UTMB Health in Galveston, TX, seeks an Open Rank/Open Track Trauma Surgery faculty member to support teaching, research, and patient care within the Department of Surgery, Division of Trauma and Acute Care Surgery. The role includes ICU/critical care, operative services, and in-house trauma coverage in Galveston and League City, with teaching responsibilities across all learner levels.

The position requires graduation from an approved medical school, completed residency, Texas license, and BC/BE

Formación

• Graduate of an approved medical school.
• Completed an approved residency training program.
• Texas medical license without restrictions.
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Trauma Surgery.

Responsabilidades

• Provide direct patient care across ICU and trauma services, in-house coverage, and surgical consultations.
• Participate in teaching activities, rounds, conferences, and bedside teaching for medical students and residents.
• Supervise residents and provide medical direction within the Department of Surgery and Health System.
• Engage in CME, local/regional/national meetings, and committee work as assigned.

Educación

Medical degree from an approved medical school

Texas medical license

Board Certified or Board Eligible in Trauma Surgery
