UPMC Hamot, located in Erie, Pennsylvania, is seeking a Trauma/Acute Care Surgeon with interest in trauma surgery, emergency general surgery and surgical critical care at our Level II, 423 bed regional hub hospital in Northwest Pennsylvania.

An accredited trauma center, such as UPMC Hamot, has access 24 hours a day, seven days a week, to a team of skilled medical professionals who are specially trained to provide the highest level of care available to severely injured or ill patients.
At UPMC Hamot, the Multidisciplinary Trauma Care Team includes:
- General and trauma surgeons
- Emergency physicians and nurses
- Neurosurgeons
- Interventional radiologists
- Orthopaedic surgeons

- Reconstructive surgeons
Qualifications- Completed training in general surgery and surgical critical care or surgical critical care / acute care surgery
- American Board Eligible/American Board Certified in Surgery and Surgical Critical Care
- Superior clinical skills
- Strong commitment to academic surgery and surgical education
Position Details:- Accredited Level II Trauma Center (only trauma center within a 90 mi. radius)
- Multidisciplinary trauma team, including, but not limited to, trauma surgeons, orthopaedic surgeons, neurosurgeons, interventional radiologists and cardiovascular surgeons
