Job summary

Baylor Scott & White Health in Texas seeks a licensed Physician Assistant for the Surgical Specialty - Non-Operative. The role delivers direct patient care under physician supervision, with credentialing and billing as an independent provider.

You will care for adult and pediatric patients across multiple surgical disciplines, perform exams, order tests, prescribe therapies, and counsel patients. Requires Texas PA license and NCCPA certification; BLS within 30 days.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program.
• Current Texas PA license.
• NCCPA certification.
• BLS certification within 30 days of hire.
• Less than 1 year of experience.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients by performing comprehensive or problem-focused exams and histories.
• Order, interpret, and evaluate lab tests and other diagnostics.
• Prescribe medications and therapies as supervised within scope.
• Develop and implement patient treatment plans with physician collaboration.
• Counsel patients and families on medical processes, medications, nutrition, and health promotion.
• Maintain accurate records of treatment plans and outcomes.
