Job summary

Haven of Tuscola LLC in Illinois is seeking a Part-Time Transport Driver to safely transport residents to appointments and events. You’ll provide reliable transportation, assist residents, maintain vehicle cleanliness, and complete logs. 16-passenger van experience is preferred.

The role emphasizes compassion, safety, and teamwork with staff and residents. 21+ with a valid IL license and clean driving record are required; HS diploma or equivalent expected.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Valid Illinois driver8s license with clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Safely transport residents to and from scheduled medical appointments.
• Provide safe and reliable transportation for special outings and events.
• Assist residents during outings as needed.
• Ensure residents arrive at their destinations safely and on time.
• Maintain the cleanliness and appearance of the vehicle inside and out.
• Complete and maintain vehicle maintenance logs.
• Monitor fuel and fluid levels.
• Report vehicle maintenance or safety concerns promptly.
• Interact professionally, respectfully, and compassionately with residents and their families.
• Work collaboratively with facility staff and other team members.

What You'll Do

As our Transport Driver team member, you will:

• Safely transport residents to and from scheduled medical appointments

What We’re Looking For

We’re looking for someone who is:

• 21 years of age or older

• Experienced driving a 16-passenger van — minimum 1 year required

• A high school graduate or equivalent

• A holder of a valid Illinois driver’s license

• Able to maintain a clean driving record

• Dependable, responsible, and safety-minded

• Friendly, patient, and compassionate

• Comfortable working with seniors and individuals who may require additional assistance

• Able to communicate and work effectively with residents, families, and staff
