Job summary

Qualifications

• PhD required or equivalent academic credentials.
• Strong background in charged particle dynamics and electromagnetic field modeling.
• Experience with numerical simulation and experimental validation.
• Proficiency with Python and scientific software tooling.

Responsibilities

• Perform research on cutting edge ion trap transport methods.
• Design and develop ion surface trap top metal for ion trapping and transport.
• Design and develop ion voltage waveforms for efficient ion transport.
• Create and maintain software tools to enable key features of ion transport waveform design.
• Work directly with computational scientists, experimentalists, and engineers to research solutions to cutting-edge ion trapping and transport problems.
• Communicate ground-breaking results both internally and externally through publications and presentations.
