Essential Duties And Responsibilities

1. Provides superior customer service on a daily basis that exceeds normal customer expectations, while staying within company policy and procedure guidelines.
2. Loads orders into delivery vehicles.
3. Checks deliveries for accuracy, and routes them effectively.
4. Completes return forms and handles invoices, transfers, and all other paperwork correctly.
5. Performs other warehouse duties if no deliveries are pending.
6. Observes and follows all necessary safety regulations at all times; follows vehicle safety procedures at all times.
7. Relays pertinent information to the manager in a timely manner.
8. Answers all customer questions in a polite and courteous manner, or refers them to the manager if more information is necessary.
9. Delivers customer orders promptly, in an effective business-like manner.
10. Makes only assigned deliveries.
11. Calls the manager from the customer's location as required.
12. Initials all cash invoices legibly; follows correct cash handling procedures.
13. Records all pertinent information on all invoices.
14. Performs daily vehicle checks and routine maintenance as needed.
15. Informs the manager if non-routine repairs or maintenance are needed for company vehicles.
16. Performs vehicle cleanup daily and facility maintenance including housekeeping.
17. Demonstrates professionalism, courtesy, and proactivity with customers, vendors, and employees.
18. Follows oral and written instructions accurately and efficiently.
19. Works well with others under time constraints.
20. Performs quality work with attention to detail.
21. Adheres to company policies, attendance, and punctuality guidelines.
22. Seeks and prepares for training opportunities both internally and externally.
23. Reports to work on time and as scheduled.
24. Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

1. Two years driving experience/license preferred.
2. Ability to read simple words and numbers, print and speak basic sentences.
3. Ability to perform basic math operations and compute rate, ratio, and percent.
4. Ability to understand and follow detailed instructions and solve problems involving concrete variables.
5. Physical ability to work seated for driving, handle tires, and lift up to 50 pounds.
6. Specific vision abilities required include close, distance, color, peripheral, and depth perception.
7. Must have a valid driver's license, acceptable driving record, pass drug test and background check.
