Job Summary and Qualifications

Performs general clerical duties such as filing, answering phone, charting reports, and processing requisitions. Provides a safe and efficient transfer or transportation of patients from one area within the hospital to another. Maintains work area and cost of supplies used. Maintains patients’ modesty at all times. Has the ability to transport patients with additional equipment; intravenous and oxygen. Employee will be responsible for knowledge and skill necessary to provide care based on physical, psychological, educational, safety, and related criteria for the neonate, infant child, adolescent, adult, and geriatric population.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum Work Experience:

· Prior hospital-based experience in transporting patients preferred.

Skills:

· Ability to transport patients safely.

· Good communication skills.

License/Registration/Certification:

· Basic Cardiac Life Support through American Heart Association required.
