You will ensure timely, compassionate service and help patients connect with family, housing, or shelter resources while keeping a clean, safe vehicle.
The role requires a valid driver's license, a good driving record, flexibility, and the ability to prioritize routes and de-escalate crises.
Safely escort and transport patients from Anchor Hospital to designated location. Ensure timely, compassionate transportation and assist patients by ensuring they connect with family/friends or housing/shelter representatives. Maintain a safe and clean environment for transport and report any behavioral related issues of concern immediately to direct supervisor. Communicate any infectious and disease control issues and proceed only when a suitable outcome has been advised and administered. Make sure equipment is prepared and ready prior to discharge route. Ensure discharge route does not exceed an 8 -hour transport unless approved by proper officials. Follow all policies and procedures as written.
