The starting rate for this position is: $21.55 Rate of pay displayed reflects the beginning of the pay scale.# At the time of an offer, determination of your offer will reflect your skills and experience as it relates to the position. # Summary # Under the general direction of the Clinical Nurse Manager, in accordance with the practice standards established by the Nursing Organization and by the specific unit/department in accordance with the rules, and regulations and/ or standards established by the State Board of Nursing, Det Norske Veritas (DNV) Accreditation and appropriate specialty organizations relevant to the patient population under care of the Patient Transporter.# Patient Transport staff member performs the following functions:# # Essential Duties and Responsibilities # Supports and promotes the mission and values of Covenant Health Ministry ## Provides transportation services to patients within the facility ## Facilitates equipment allocation upon request ## Promptly and attentively responds to and satisfies customer/patient needs Utilizes documentation tools for patient transportation and tracking Complies with all policies and procedures regarding time in attendance reporting, punctuality, and attendance Expresses self clearly in verbal and written communication; offers and accepts constructive criticism when appropriate Demonstrates a commitment to ensuring that St. Joseph Healthcare is the preferred healthcare choice Applies critical thinking skills to carefully consider alternatives before making decisions Displays empathy in all situations and provides high quality service with available resources Respects the confidentiality and the right to privacy of employees, customers, and patients Demonstrates stewardship of resources (staff, equipment, supplies, time and financial) Adheres to the dress code and identification badge policies Completes wheelchair/stretcher transport training.
