Responsibilities

The Radiology Transporter transports patients to and from the Radiology Department. Other duties include but are not limited to darkroom duties, ordering supplies, stocking, dressing patients, and front office duties. This role also involves clerical duties such as answering telephones, greeting patients, preparing requisitions for outpatients, filing patient reports, retrieving patient records, and supporting the Radiology Department with various administrative tasks. The ideal candidate should demonstrate knowledge of radiology terminology, good telephone etiquette, and the ability to greet patients and visitors politely. Provides clerical support utilizing telephone, computer, office equipment, PACS, and running errands throughout the facility.

Qualifications

• Must have BCLS (AHA) upon hire and maintain current throughout employment.
• Transportation experience preferred.
• Starting April 2014, all new hires will require a High School diploma or Equivalent.
