Job summary

McLaren Health Care is seeking a dedicated Nurse Aide Transporter to support patient flow within the hospital. You will move patients between departments, assist nursing staff, and transport specimens and supplies as directed.

Qualified candidates have a High School diploma or equivalent, completion of a Nurse Aide program (or 6 months as Nursing Assistant), and BLS certification within 3 months of hire. Schedule is full-time, 11:00 am - 7:30 pm.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Nurse Aide training program completed, or 6 months experience as Nursing Assistant in a healthcare facility, or enrollment in an accredited nursing program.
• BLS certification within 3 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Transports patients between departments and units as directed.
• Supports nursing staff by performing nurse aide duties when needed.
• Transports specimens, supplies and equipment to and from departments as directed.

Required

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Successful completion of a Nurse Aide training program, or 6 months experience as a Nursing Assistant in a Healthcare facility, or completion of fundamentals if enrolled in an Accredited School of Nursing program
• BLS certification within 3 months of hire

Preferred

• Current State of Michigan certification
• Previous experience as a Nurse Aide
• Medical terminology
