Job summary

Guthrie is seeking a Transport Specialist responsible for securing wheelchairs and stretchers in vans and operating lifts across the patient transport fleet. You will identify patients, perform paperwork, and maintain equipment as part of a safe, efficient service.

The role requires a current driver's license, 21+ years old per PA PUC, and CPR/BCLS with First Aid training; strong reading, writing, and record-keeping skills are essential; compliance with universal precautions and proper body

Qualifications

• CPR or BCLS and First Aid certification recommended.
• Current valid driver's license; 21+ years old per PA PUC.
• Able to read, write and understand oral communication; maintain legible records.

Position Summary:

Wheelchair Van/Stretcher/Ambulatory Rider accurately secures all wheelchairs and stretchers in vans. Properly operates the lifts on the vans and is able to operate all vehicles in the transport fleet.

Education, License & Cert:

High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.

Experience:

Recommended maintains CPR or BCLS, and First Aid. Must have current valid driver’s license. Must be 21 years of age as per PA PUC requirement. Ability to read, write, and understand oral communication. Keeps neat/legible written records. Follows universal precautions and utilizes proper body mechanics. Is able to make timely decisions. Must be able to operate communication radios in all vans.
