Job summary

East Liverpool City Hospital in Ohio is seeking a dedicated Transporter to move patients within the facility and support clinical staff. The role covers darkroom duties, stocking supplies, and basic clerical tasks to keep the department running smoothly.

You will greet patients, answer calls, prepare requisitions for outpatients, and assist with medical records retrieval, using PACS and office equipment. High school diploma required; BCLS certification must be current.

Qualifications

• Must have BCLS (AHA) upon hire and maintain current throughout employment.
• Transportation experience preferred
• High School Diploma or Equivalent.

Responsibilities

• The transporter transports patients to and from the department.
• Other duties include but are not limited to: Darkroom duties, ordering supplies, stocking, dressing patients and front office duties.
• This performs clerical duties for the department such as answering telephones, greeting patients and preparing requisitions for outpatients.
• Other duties include, but are not limited to, filing patient reports, retrieving patient records for physicians or medical records.
• The transporter should demonstrate adequate knowledge of the usual terminology of tests ordered in department person should demonstrate good telephone etiquette and be able to greet patients and other visitors in a polite and friendly manner.
• Provides clerical support by utilizing telephone, computer, office equipment, PACS (Picture Archive and Communication System) and by running errands throughout the facility.
