Job Description - Transporter Full Time Days (2406003425)

Job Summary

Under general supervision, and according to established policies and procedures, performs transporter duties which may include, but are not limited to escorting and/or transporting patients within the hospital. Escorts patients by stretcher, wheelchair, or bed for treatment, testing, admitting, discharge, and intra-hospital transfers. Delivers on request specimens, patient charts, and various other patient-related materials to specified departments or other hospital areas.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write, follow written and oral instructions, and perform general clerical functions related to the job.
• No previous related experience required; one to four weeks of on-the-job training.
