Job summary

Self Regional Healthcare is seeking a Patient Transporter to provide safe, timely transport of patients and visitors throughout the hospital. You will move patients by wheelchair, stretcher, or bed, ensure safety, respond to requests via EPIC and phone, document activities, assist with arrivals in EPIC, and clean equipment after use.

Candidates should have strong customer service, basic computer skills, and be able to assist patients entering and exiting wheelchairs.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities include transporting patients via wheelchair, stretcher, bed, wagon, or by walking assistance; ensuring patient safety during transport; responding promptly to transport requests through EPIC and telephone communications; documenting transport activities; assisting with patient arrivals in EPIC; and cleaning transport equipment after use. Candidates should possess strong customer service and basic computer skills, be able to assist patients entering and exiting wheelchairs, and safely push or maneuver equipment. A commitment to excellent patient service and efficient response times is essential. Must possess the ability to push up to 500 pounds, high school diploma or equivalent GED.
