Job summary

Kettering Health Network seeks a Patient Transporter to ensure safe patient transit within the hospital while maintaining confidentiality. Candidates must have a high school diploma and a BLS/CPR certification. Full-time hours include rotation during holidays and call duty.

Responsibilities

• Transports patients to/from nursing units safely.
• Correctly identifies patients and handles the equipment needed for transfers.
• Conducts EKGs on patients upon order.

Responsibilities & Requirements

Responsibilities:

• Escorts/ Transports patients to/from nursing units, treatment and diagnostic areas safely and with respect for privacy and confidentiality as assigned.
• Correctly identifies patient, safely transports via wheelchair, cart or bed to the requested destination.
• Recognizes their limitations, and obtains additional information and assistance as needed
• Upon order, does technical work in the conducting of Non-Invasive cardiology studies (EKG's)on all patients.
