Job description

This is a permanent, full-time vacancy that will close in 20 days at 23:59 BST.

The Role

Transporter Driver responsible for ensuring the efficient and timely collection and delivery of vehicles to and from various locations. Night outs may be required when requested.

Key Accountabilities

• Complete daily safety checks, report and rectify defects according to procedures.
• Work within WTD and drivers’ hours regulations.
• Communicate effectively with branch, buyers, vendors, and the central logistics team.
• Maintain awareness of the UK highway code.
• Operate in accordance with SLAs and business expectations.
• Stay updated on route diversions or changes to delivery plans.
• Follow accident reporting procedures.
• Keep all licenses up to date.
• Safely operate multiple transporter configurations.
• Participate in continuous training of the transport fleet.

Decision Making

• Complete work within SLAs and business expectations.
• Follow safe working procedures aligned with SSOW.
• Plan routes for optimal efficiency.
• Plan loading for maximum efficiency.
• Adhere to WTD and drivers’ hours regulations.

Qualifications Required
