Job summary

CHI St. Vincent Hot Springs is hiring a Patient Transporter to provide essential patient transport across the campus, ensuring a safe and patient-focused experience.

You will verify patient identification, greet and assist with transfers, and monitor patient condition during transport while keeping meticulous notes and reporting issues to the proper personnel. Daily duties include moving patients between departments, transporting equipment, and maintaining a clean, organized workspace.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required at hire
• Experience in a healthcare setting
• Basic Life Support - CPR within 30 days

Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our Patient Transporter, you will provide essential assistance and transportation for patients and related items across our campus, ensuring a highly customer-sensitive and seamless experience.

Every day you will promptly and safely transport inpatients and outpatients to and from various hospital areas. You will meticulously confirm patient identification, greet and assist in transferring patients, and make conscious observations of patient condition during transport, reporting any issues to appropriate personnel. You will also maintain a clean and organized work area and report any malfunctioning equipment.

To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate a strong commitment to patient safety and exceptional customer service for all individuals within our facility. You will be attentive, observant, and capable of performing duties efficiently while upholding the highest standards of care and professionalism.

• Safely and efficiently transport in-patients internally to-and-from different parts of the hospitals as needed. Transport areas include patient testing areas and other ancillary areas as assigned.
• Movement of equipment to and from a location as needed.

Job Requirements

• High School Graduate General Studies, upon hire or
