Job summary

Lee Health's Gulf Coast Medical Center in Fort Myers, FL is seeking a Transportation Services teammate to join our full-time team. This role supports patient movement and departmental routing within the hospital to sustain smooth operations.

You will assist patients with transfers, verify identifications, and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient flow, using EPIC/Hall Pass, while maintaining hospital appearance and patient care standards.

Qualifications

• Educational requirement: Less than high school.
• No prior experience required.
• BLS (American Heart Association) required.
• Basic Life Support Certification within first ninety days.

Responsibilities

• Provides patient transportation services for all departments as directed by Transport lead/dispatcher/supervisor.
• Safely transports patients to and from hospital departments.
• Assists patients in moving to and from wheelchair to bed, etc.
• Gives, receives, and records patient information accurately for EPIC/Hall Pass and ensures two forms of patient identification prior to transport.
• Provides interdisciplinary support as requested when not transporting patients.
• Follows established procedures to help maintain the appearance of the hospital environment.
• Works collaboratively with the Interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient flow by performing miscellaneous duties as requested.
• Interacts with all customers in a manner that supports operations in all departments.
