The Transportation Worker 1 Equipment Operator reports to the Randolph County Headquarters. Under general supervision, this entry-level role involves construction and maintenance of highways, including operating various vehicles and equipment, performing traffic control, and assisting in snow removal. Duties include:
The selected candidate will participate in a U.S. Department of Labor apprenticeship program. Within six months of employment, obtaining a Commercial Driver's License (CDL) is required. Progression and advancement depend on hours worked, proficiency, training, and CDL maintenance.
Note: A CDL is mandatory within six months for the Equipment Operator and Mechanic roles.
Pay Grade: 10H | Hourly Rate: $15.4913
Note: A CDL must be obtained within six months of employment.
