Job summary

Stafford County is seeking a Project Manager to lead design, construction and coordination of utility and public projects on a smaller scale. You will interface with agencies, stakeholders and departmental teams to deliver water and sewer, building projects, and renovations.

Two levels are offered: PM I and PM II with salaries shown; PE license is preferred. A driver's license valid in Virginia is required and there is potential for growth within the department.

Qualifications

• 3 years of experience with construction or project engineering/management of large projects.
• PE license preferred.
• 5 years of experience with construction or project engineering/management of large projects for PM II.

Responsibilities

• Independently manages complex water and sanitary sewer projects within budget and schedule.
• Reviews plans, specifications, cost estimates, and project documents.
• Prepares bid documents, contracts, and purchase orders; maintains project records.
• Tracks budget, approves invoices, and prepares project reports.
• Coordinates with county departments, consultants, and contractors.
