Job summary

Stafford County Government seeks an Assistant Project Manager to deliver transportation projects that enhance mobility, safety and quality of life for residents and visitors. You’ll assist with planning, design and construction from concept through construction while collaborating with engineers, contractors and stakeholders.

The role supports growth in transportation engineering, construction management and project delivery within a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business management, construction management, or a related field.
• 4+ years of experience in an administrative support function in a fast-paced environment.
• 2+ years of proven experience supporting construction or transportation project management.
• Project Management certifications such as PMP is desired but not required.

Responsibilities

• Provides project coordination, construction oversight, budget tracking, consultant management and stakeholder communication.
• Assists with procurement processes, contracting and documentation.
• Prepares reports, maintains records, and supports senior project management with meetings and data.
