Transportation Terminal Manager

Benore Logistic Systems is seeking an experienced and driven Operations Terminal Manager to lead our transportation operations. In this crucial leadership role, you will ensure the safe, efficient, and profitable management of our daily trucking operations, assets, and personnel.

Responsibilities:

  1. Manage and oversee all daily operations accountabilities, including supervising drivers, logistics staff, clerical teams, and enforcing company policies/procedures.
  2. Optimize utilization of company assets including technology, Class A drivers, tractors, and trailers to maximize productivity.
  3. Train and develop direct reports on responsibilities, safety protocols, DOT regulations, and operational execution to meet service/financial goals.
  4. Administer and ensure compliance with DOT Hours of Service rules, monitoring driver productivity against KPIs.
  5. Conduct ride-alongs with drivers to evaluate performance, validate routes, and perform safety checks.
  6. Lead investigations into incidents, injuries, and accidents in coordination with the Safety department.
  7. Oversee technology, forms, and documentation usage by team members.
  8. Manage employee timekeeping, attendance, time off requests, performance reviews, and payroll.
  9. Participate in driver hiring, discipline processes, and terminations in partnership with HR.
  10. Foster an engaged culture and work environment with high morale and motivation.
  11. Plan and oversee tractor/trailer maintenance, vendor relationships, and roadside assistance.
  12. Serve as primary customer contact, establishing and maintaining strong client relationships.
  13. Ensure adherence to all company policies, DOT/OSHA regulations, C-TPAT practices, and ISO certifications.
  14. Additional duties as assigned.

Requirements

  5. Excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.
  6. Proficiency with transportation management systems and Microsoft Office suite.
  7. Valid driver's license and ability to operate commercial vehicles.
