Transportation Technicians/CEI Inspectors (All Levels)

Join to apply for the Transportation Technicians/CEI Inspectors (All Levels) role at DRMP.

Position Overview

DRMP's Construction Engineering Inspection (CEI) Division is HIRING. We are seeking Transportation Technicians/CEI Inspectors (all levels) to join our team in the Asheboro area. While assigned to a home office, most positions will report directly to the field or project site.

Responsibilities
  • Perform technical assignments in field surveying and construction layout.
  • Make and check engineering computations.
  • Inspect construction work and conduct field tests.
  • Document daily contractor efforts and prepare project field books.
  • Sample and test materials, verify dimensions, levels, and alignments.
  • Ensure work conforms to specifications and standards.
  • Maintain logs of construction and inspection activities.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma with 4+ years in construction inspection, including 1+ years in roadway or bridge inspection.
  • AAS in Civil Engineering Technology plus 2+ years of experience, with at least 1+ year in roadway construction inspection.
  • Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
  • Completion of relevant certification courses.
Certifications
  • QMS Roadway, Concrete, ABC Sampling, Borrow Pit Sampling, Density certifications, and others listed.
