Job summary

DRMP\'s Construction Engineering Inspection (CEI) division in Fayetteville, NC is hiring Transportation Technicians/CEI Inspectors at all levels. You will be assigned to a home office but report to the field/project, performing complex field surveying, layout, and inspections, and conducting tests.

Responsibilities include daily documentation, material sampling, density logs, final estimates prep, and ensuring adherence to specifications.

Qualifications

• High school graduate with four (4+) years experience in construction inspection, one (1+) year of which shall have been in roadway or bridge construction inspection.
• AAS Civil Engineering Technology plus two (2+) years experience; with at least one (1+) year roadway construction inspection experience.
• Valid driver's license with approved/acceptable driving history required.
• Complete the Critical Structures Construction Issues, Self-Study Course, and submit the mandatory Certification of Course Completion form (for structures projects).
• Position requires a minimum of 40 hours a week with the possibility of overtime (Hourly).
• Ability to work in a team environment.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds as needed to perform your assigned task.
• Receives general instructions regarding assignments and is expected to exercise initiative and independent judgment in the solution of work problems.
• Assists Senior Inspectors and/or Project Administrator with completion of specific tasks and assists in all phases of the construction project.
• Responsible for preparing backup documentation for progress and final estimates throughout the construction project duration.

Your Primary Responsibilities will include
