Job summary

Glanbia is seeking a Transportation Team Leader to orchestrate driver dispatch, route maintenance, and on-time milk and product deliveries at our Gooding, Idaho site.

You will oversee safe transportation operations, manage schedules, log compliance, and coordinate with Logistics to meet production needs. This on-site role requires strong communication and prioritization skills, with safety and quality at the forefront.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in transportation-related field preferred, or 2+ years supervisory transportation experience.
• Ability to read, write, and interpret instructions, correspondence, memos, diagrams, and schedules.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to present information to customers and employees.
• Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects, and follow safety procedures.
• Basic computer skills: email, word processing, spreadsheets.

Responsibilities

• Dispatch and manage company drivers to support safe, efficient operations.
• Maintain driver routes and ensure milk pickup and delivery stays on schedule.
• Complete work orders and maintain driver log book compliance.
• Maintain required truck capacity to haul milk, cheese, and whey; coordinate hauling as needed.
• Field calls from dairymen and support confirmations, reroutes, and scheduling adjustments.
• Comply with safety, health, and food-safety requirements.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

The Opportunity

As a Transportation Team Leader, you will dispatch and support company drivers, maintain routes, and help ensure timely pick-up and delivery of milk and related products to Glanbia plants.

Essential Functions

• Dispatch and manage company drivers to support safe, efficient transportation operations.
• Maintain driver routes and ensure milk pick-up and delivery to plants stays on schedule.
• Complete work orders and manage driver log book compliance.
• Maintain the required truck capacity to haul milk, fresh cheese, and whey; coordinate additional hauling with Logistics as needed.
• Field calls from dairymen and support truck confirmations, reroutes, and schedule adjustments.

Additional Functions

• Comply with applicable occupational safety, health, and food safety requirements, including SQF, FDA, and PMO regulations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in a transportation-related field preferred, or a minimum of two years of supervisory or equivalent transportation-related experience.
• Ability to read, write, and interpret instructions, correspondence, memos, diagrams, and schedules.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to present information to customers, clients, and employees.
• Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects, follow safety procedures, and support team/company goals.
• Basic computer skills, including email, word processing, spreadsheets, and graphics.
