Job summary

Vistar is seeking a Transportation Supervisor to oversee driver training, scheduling, and compliance with DOT and company standards. You will monitor logs, supervise drivers, and ensure timely, safe deliveries across the operating company, coordinating with management on payroll and safety initiatives.

Ideal candidates have experience in transportation operations, fleet management systems, and a strong commitment to safety and efficiency within a dynamic logistics environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED or equivalent.
• 2-4 years transportation or related experience including knowledge of DOT and safety regulations.
• Experience operating computerized fleet management systems.

Responsibilities

• Supervises associates to include staffing, training, coaching, and performance management.
• Assist in scheduling and ensure deliveries and pickups are timely.
• Rides with drivers for training and evaluation purposes.
• Assist in day-to-day administration of transportation and delivery functions.
• Ensure driver paperwork, invoices, DVIRs and logs are accurately completed.
• Monitor vehicle safety and safe lifting/product handling practices.
