Job Description: The Transportation Supervisor is a standalone transportation class. Incumbents are responsible for supervising district transportation activities and staff.

Duties & Responsibilities: Duties include overseeing transportation operations, supervising staff, developing and implementing operating procedures, preparing training manuals, forms, and agendas, scheduling and conducting training, coordinating repair schedules, preparing reports, and assisting in diagnosing and troubleshooting maintenance and repair issues. Incumbents supervise staff, performing the full range of supervisory duties including directing work, training and coaching, discipline, and performance evaluation. As working supervisors, incumbents may also perform the same duties as those they supervise.

Job Qualifications: Licensing/Certification Requirements include AZ Commercial Driver’s License with P&S endorsement, AZ School Bus Driver’s Certificate, CPR Certificate with AED, First Aid Certificate, Classroom Instructor Certification, Behind the Wheel Instructor Certification, 3rd Party Testing Certification, and a valid IVP Level One AZ Fingerprint Clearance Card.

Employment Information: For the 25/26 school year; 40 hours (1.0 FTE) exempt position.
