Lineage is seeking a Transportation Supervisor in Conklin, NY. You will lead a team of transportation professionals, manage ELD and DOT compliance, and optimize routing while supporting daily operations to meet linehaul and service goals.

Responsibilities include performance analysis, driver support, and project work under the Transportation Manager. Strong organizational and communication skills required; associate degree with 2+ years’ related experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Educational background: Associate’s degree with at least two (2) years of transportation or related experience, including at least one (1) year in a supervisory capacity; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Industry experience in the food sector is preferred.
• Organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to meet deadlines.
• Proficiency with MS Office, scheduling software, and routing software.
• Strong communication skills; knowledge of driver safety and DOT compliance; ability to develop employees.

Responsibilities

• Oversee, evaluate, and ensure ELD performance and coordinate with the ELD Coordinator to resolve issues.
• Communicate, review, and ensure DOT regulatory compliance; maintain updated driver logs.
• Resolve driver issues and needs, both on and off the road.
• Review backhaul assignments and adjust routing or delivery plans as needed.
• Coordinate time off requests with management personnel.
• Ensure daily driver documentation is accurate.
• Collaborate with Logistics to establish and optimize efficient routing.
• Review the communication log daily and address open issues.
• Analyze driver performance and provide recommendations to management.
• Assist the Transportation Manager in supervising Dispatchers and resolving personnel issues.
• Complete special projects and other duties as assigned.

We’re hiring a Transportation Supervisor in Conklin, NY!

Join our growing Lineage Foodservice Solutions team at the Darden location and put your transportation experience and leadership skills to work.

Schedule:

• Tuesday–Friday: 3:00 AM–12:00 PM or until operations are complete
• Saturday: Midnight–9:00 AM

Flexibility is required to support business needs.

Manage the day-to-day transportation operations activity at the assigned facility in partnership with operations. Lead and develop a team of transportation professionals.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• ELD Performance Oversight : Oversee, evaluate, and ensure ELD performance while working with the ELD Coordinator to resolve any issues.
• DOT Compliance : Communicate, review, and ensure compliance with DOT regulations; maintain updated logs for driver review.
• Driver Support : Resolve driver issues and needs, both on and off the road.
• Routing Adjustments : Review backhaul assignments and make necessary adjustments to routing or delivery plans.
• Time Off Coordination : Coordinate time off requests with appropriate management personnel.
• Documentation Accuracy : Ensure driver documentation is completed accurately on a daily basis.
• Efficient Routing : Collaborate with Logistics to establish and optimize efficient routing.
• Daily Issue Management : Review the communication log and address any open issues daily.
• Performance Analysis : Analyze driver performance and provide recommendations to appropriate personnel.
• Supervisory Support : Assist the Transportation Manager in carrying out supervisory responsibilities, including directing Dispatchers and resolving departmental personnel issues.
• Project Management : Complete special projects and other duties as assigned.

Qualifications, Knowledge, and Skills

• Organizational Skills : Demonstrated ability to stay organized and work with minimal supervision.
• Attention to Detail : Strong attention to detail and accuracy with a commitment to meeting deadlines.
• Computer Proficiency : Good computer skills, including MS Office Suite, scheduling software, and routing software.
• Communication Skills : Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Safety and Compliance Knowledge : Knowledge of driver safety and DOT compliance requirements.
• Employee Development : Ability to motivate and develop employees.

Education and Experience

• Educational Background : Associate’s degree with a minimum of two (2) years of experience in transportation or a related role, including at least one (1) year in a supervisory capacity; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Industry Experience : Experience in the food industry is preferred.

Pay Range:$62,353.20 - $92,900.00
