Job summary

Lineage Logistics is seeking a Transportation Supervisor for our Conklin, NY facility. This onsite role oversees a team of roughly 35 drivers, including participation in an on-call rotation to ensure operational coverage.

The schedule runs Sunday through Thursday, 12:00 PM to 9:00 PM, with focus on scheduling, reporting, and coordination. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail oriented, and proficient in MS Excel for reporting and routing analysis.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in transportation or related field is preferred.
• Minimum two years in transportation or a related role; supervisory experience a plus.
• Strong organization, attention to detail, and communication skills.
• Knowledge of DOT regulations and driver safety is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Oversee a team of ~35 drivers and support on-call coverage.
• Monitor ELD performance and coordinate with ELD Coordinator to resolve issues.
• Ensure DOT compliance and maintain driver logs for review.
• Review routing, scheduling, and off-day requests with management.
• Analyze driver performance and implement process improvements.

This position is for a Transportation Supervisor based onsite at our Conklin, NY facility. The schedule is Sunday through Thursday, 12:00 PM to 9:00 PM.In this role, the Transportation Supervisor will oversee and support a team of approximately 35 drivers, including participating in an on-call rotation to ensure operational coverage.The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and excels at scheduling and coordinating daily transportation operations. Strong organizational and time management skills are essential, along with intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel to support reporting, scheduling, and operational analysis.The Transportation Supervisor provides day to day oversight within the Transportation department by reviewing performance, ensuring compliance, and resolving driver issues.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesELD Performance Oversight: Oversee, evaluate, and ensure ELD performance while working with the ELD Coordinator to resolve any issues.DOT Compliance: Communicate, review, and ensure compliance with DOT regulations; maintain updated logs for driver review.Driver Support: Resolve driver issues and needs, both on and off the road.Routing Adjustments: Review backhaul assignments and make necessary adjustments to routing or delivery plans.Time Off Coordination: Coordinate time off requests with appropriate management personnel.Documentation Accuracy: Ensure driver documentation is completed accurately on a daily basis.Efficient Routing: Collaborate with Logistics to establish and optimize efficient routing.Daily Issue Management: Review the communication log and address any open issues daily.Performance Analysis: Analyze driver performance and provide recommendations to appropriate personnel.Supervisory Support: Assist the Transportation Manager in carrying out supervisory responsibilities, including directing Dispatchers and resolving departmental personnel issues.Project Management: Complete special projects and other duties as assigned.Qualifications, Knowledge, and SkillsOrganizational Skills: Demonstrated ability to stay organized and work with minimal supervision.Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail and accuracy with a commitment to meeting deadlines.Computer Proficiency: Good computer skills, including MS Office Suite, scheduling software, and routing software.Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Safety and Compliance Knowledge: Knowledge of driver safety and DOT compliance requirements.Employee Development: Ability to motivate and develop employees.Education and ExperienceEducational Background: Associate's degree with a minimum of two (2) years of experience in transportation or a related role, including at least one (1) year in a supervisory capacity; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.Industry Experience: Experience in the food industry is preferred.Pay Range:$62,353.20 - $92,900.00Why Lineage?This is an excellent position to begin your career path within Lineage!
