Job summary

CHENEGA BASE & LOGISTICS SERVICES LLC in Ft Rucker, AL, is seeking a Transportation Supervisor to manage day-to-day transportation operations and supervise Travel and Freight Offices.

The Transportation Supervisor is responsible for the day to day operations of the transportation effort.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the establishment, operation, performance, and management of the Travel and Freight Offices.
• Conduct meetings
• Evaluate plans
• Prepare reports, plans, and working instructions
• Plan and direct personnel and required resources for day-to-day mission support.
• Provide information and reports, resolve issues and recommend actions to improve delivery of services to the customers.
• Other duties as assigned

Preferred Qualifications

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Knowledge of Microsoft word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
• Knowledge of governing regulations, policies, procedures and instructions in assigned area of responsibility.
• Knowledge of all installed product software at the use/operator level and automated data processing policies and procedures as they pertain to assigned equipment, both STAMIS and Installation desktop computer which will allow the contractor to solve &or contact appropriate technical support to resolve any problem associated with these systems.
• Skills in verbal and written communications to conduct meetings, execute plans, and prepare reports, plans, and working instructions.
• Ability to proficiently utilize Electronic Transportation Operational Personal Property Standardized System, and the Defense Personal Property System.
• Excellent written and oral communications skills.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Ability to complete and prioritize tasks on multiple concurrent projects within given timeframes.
