The Transportation Supervisor is responsible for the day to day operations of the transportation effort.
Responsibilities
- Supervise the establishment, operation, performance, and management of the Travel and Freight Offices.
- Conduct meetings
- Evaluate plans
- Prepare reports, plans, and working instructions
- Plan and direct personnel and required resources for day-to-day mission support.
- Provide information and reports, resolve issues and recommend actions to improve delivery of services to the customers.
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Minimum four (4) years supervisory experience and related work experience.
- Successfully pass background and drug screening
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Management
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Knowledge of Microsoft word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
- Knowledge of governing regulations, policies, procedures and instructions in assigned area of responsibility.
- Knowledge of all installed product software at the use/operator level and automated data processing policies and procedures as they pertain to assigned equipment, both STAMIS and Installation desktop computer which will allow the contractor to solve and/or contact appropriate technical support to resolve any problem associated with these systems.
- Skills in verbal and written communications to conduct meetings, execute plans, and prepare reports, plans, and working instructions.
- Ability to proficiently utilize Electronic Transportation Operational Personal Property Standardized System, and the Defense Personal Property System.
- Excellent written and oral communications skills.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to complete and prioritize tasks on multiple concurrent projects within given timeframes.
Physical Demands:
- Sufficient fine motor skill for use of computers, calculator with an ability to withstand repetitive keyboarding for extended periods of time
- Visual, auditory and communication abilities sufficient to perform the essential functions of the job
- Ability to kneel bend and twist at the waist on an occasional basis,
- Ability to push, pull, carry and lift objects weighing up to 20 pounds on a regular basis and more on an occasional basis
- Ability to travel by plane and safely operate a motor vehicle.
