JoB Training & Coaching in Allentown, PA seeks a Transportation Structural Section Head to lead a growing bridge engineering practice. The role combines technical leadership with business development, guiding projects from planning through delivery and mentoring engineers.

You will manage budgets, coordinate resources, and build relationships with municipal and state agencies while ensuring quality and on-time performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited institution.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
• Minimum 10 years of structural bridge engineering experience.
• Demonstrated experience leading bridge engineering projects from planning through delivery.
• Proven project management experience.
• Business development experience with public or private sector clients.
• Strong leadership and team management abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of structural bridge engineers.
• Oversee planning, design, and delivery of structural bridge projects.
• Ensure projects are completed on schedule, within budget, and in accordance with quality standards.
• Provide technical guidance and engineering expertise to project managers and design staff.
• Support project teams by resolving complex technical challenges.
• Partner with office leadership to execute strategic growth initiatives.
• Expand market presence through networking, client engagement, and business development activities.
• Build and maintain long-term relationships with municipal, county, and state transportation agencies.
• Lead and contribute to technical proposals, qualifications packages, and presentations.
• Develop and manage departmental budgets.
• Monitor project financial performance and resource utilization.
• Coordinate workload planning and staffing forecasts.
