Who we are looking for:

The Sr. Account Manager, Transportation has a high level understanding of ACV customers to deliver value added Transportation services based on their needs and expectations. This role will collaborate and partner with all ACV Sales Teams as well as Transport Operations and Business Operations. The primary responsibility will be to retain and win new transport orders from existing ACV customers and external clients. The role involves building relationships, pitching transport, and closing deals by coordinating with existing account coverage.

Remote / Travel

This role is remote but candidates that can be in the Buffalo, NY office at least 2 days a week are preferred. Occasional corporate travel to customers may be required up to 20%. For candidates not in Buffalo, additional travel will be required to the Buffalo, NY office.

What you will do:

  • Support efforts to simplify and enhance the customer experience.
  • Develop strategies to retain and grow the client base for ACV Transportation, including winning back customers and acquiring new clients.
  • Innovate by developing strategies to increase customer volume outside of ACV Auctions.
  • Identify client needs and partner with ACV stakeholders to deliver results exceeding expectations.
  • Become a Subject Matter Expert for major dealer group programs.
  • Establish relationships with internal teams to navigate customer relationships.
  • Use marketing tools and data reports to inform and track success.
  • Act as the main contact for key clients to ensure service satisfaction.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key customers and stakeholders through various communication channels.
  • Execute sales campaigns and initiatives.
  • Coordinate internally to secure customer meetings, craft pitches, and win orders.
  • Leverage follow-ups and cross-functional resources to drive wins.
  • Meet or exceed all sales goals and KPIs.
  • Document activities, strategies, and efforts.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

What you will need:

  • Proficiency in English (reading, writing, speaking).
  • High School Diploma required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • 3+ years’ experience in B2B/SMB sales or account management.
  • Strong communication skills across multi-functional groups.
  • Problem-solving skills, business acumen, collaboration, and self-motivation.
  • Reliable self-starter capable of thriving independently.
  • Experience with CRM software (preferably Salesforce).
  • Experience in automotive or transportation industry is a plus.
  • Ability to analyze business metrics and trends.
  • Knowledge of ACV products and services is a plus.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Google, Salesforce, or similar.
  • Team player adaptable to change and improvement.
Compensation: $55,000 - $65,000 annually, with potential incentives. Final compensation depends on experience, skills, location, and market factors.
