Job summary

Rivet Operations Company in the Washington DC metro area, specifically Landover, MD, is seeking a Transportation Specialist to support DIA logistics operations. You will coordinate routing, dispatch, scheduling, and documentation to ensure secure, compliant moves.

Candidates should have at least 3 years in warehouse or logistics, TS/SCI clearance eligibility, and CDL certification. The role requires adherence to safety and security procedures and may involve physical tasks in warehouse

• Maintain item counts, condition notes, and discrepancy reporting.
• Follow site access, safety, and security procedures; report incidents or noncompliance immediately.
• Work in warehouse/loading dock environments and assist with material handling tasks.

Job Title: SCA Transportation Specialist
Location: Landover, Maryland

Introduction:

Rivet Operations Company ("Rivet") has multiple openings for Transportation Specialists to join our team in the Washington DC metro area, specifically, Landover, MD. This position will support the Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA) providing enterprise logistics support. Rivet is an exceptional industry partner to the Department of Defense (DoD) and a leader in physical and cyber security, IT management, logistics, supply chain management, process improvement and development.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Ability to assist with routing, dispatch coordination, delivery/pick-up scheduling, and tracking of shipments / moves.
• Basic understanding of loading / unloading practices and in-transit protection for furniture / property (pads, straps, securement).
• Ability to prepare, review, and maintain required transportation documentation (delivery receipts, transfer / turn-in forms, chain-of-custody / signature logs) in accordance with DIA procedures.
• Attention to detail for item counts, condition notes, and discrepancy reporting.
• Ability to follow site access, safety, and security procedures; report incidents, damage, or noncompliance immediately to supervisors.
• Ability to work in warehouse / loading dock environments and assist with material handling tasks consistent with safety requirements.

Qualifications

• Personnel performing on this effort shall be U.S. citizens.
• Personnel are required to have a current Top Secret/ SCI clearance and be able to maintain it as well as be able to successfully clear a background investigation.
• High school diploma / GED with minimum 3 years of experience in warehouse operations, inventory control, shipping/receiving, or move/relocation logistics.
• Must possess Forklift and other Material Handling Equipment certifications and hold a Class A Commercial Driver's License or Class B Commercial Driver's License.
• Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word) and willingness / ability to learn tasked logistics systems.

Physical Requirements

Work may involve sitting or standing for extended periods of time as well as repeated walking. Must have sufficient mobility, including but not limited to bending, kneeling, stooping, and reaching to complete daily duties in a timely and efficient manner. There is a possibility that due to parking availability and location of work, walking moderate to long distance may be required. Must be able to lift 30 pounds unassisted.
