Job summary

Glacier Hills Senior Living Community in Ann Arbor, MI is seeking a dedicated Transportation Specialist (Driver) for full-time day shifts. You will safely transport residents to appointments and events, assist with transfers, and coordinate daily schedules to ensure resident well-being and reliable service.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Valid Chauffeur License with a safe driving record is required.
• Medical First Responder certification or CENA license is preferred.
• Experience working with older adults or in a senior living environment is preferred.
• Strong communication, organization, and customer service skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Safely transport residents to and from medical appointments, shopping trips, events, and outings.
• Assist residents with entering and exiting the vehicle, including walkers and wheelchairs as needed.
• Coordinate daily transportation schedules and appointment logistics.
• Maintain transportation logs, mileage records, and resident destination information.
• Communicate with residents, staff, medical offices, and outside transportation providers.
• Ensure company vehicles are clean, fueled, and properly maintained.
• Support resident safety, comfort, and well-being during transportation services.
