Job Description

The Transportation Specialist will ensure that customer orders are shipped in a timely manner while meeting customer expectations of product arrival. This role reports to the Logistics Manager.

Job Duties:

• Review daily orders to ensure all are fulfilled promptly.
• Coordinate with warehouse team to ensure orders are staged and ready to ship on the correct date.
• Troubleshoot, investigate, resolve, and escalate issues with suggested resolutions.
• Accurately enter shipping information into the transportation management system with urgency.
• Assist in planning and modifying daily schedules; notify customers and managers about shipment statuses.
• Track shipments to ensure optimal service.
• Proactively communicate with customers and management to meet requirements.
• Assist warehouse team in stacking products on pallets.
• Seal trailer doors outside the work area.
• Operate lifting and moving equipment safely.
• Follow all policies, standards, and safety requirements.
• Work effectively in a team environment under tight deadlines.
• Perform other duties as requested by management.
