Job summary

Richwood Nursing & Rehab in Oldham County, LaGrange, KY is seeking a Full-Time Transportation Specialist. You will assist Residents with loading and unloading from facility approved vehicles and transport to medical appointments and activities, while promoting safety and comfort.

You will monitor vehicle maintenance, demonstrate safe transfer techniques, and adapt to scheduling needs. A valid driver's license, ability to lift up to 75 pounds, and pass background checks are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver’s license and GPS familiarity.
• Background check and drug screen required.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with loading/unloading from facility vehicles.
• Maintain safety during ingress/egress and proper securing of wheelchairs.
• Demonstrate safe transfer techniques for patient mobility.
• Monitor vehicle maintenance logs and coordinate routine maintenance.
• Be flexible with work time for late resident appointments.

Richwood Nursing & Rehab is seeking Full-Time Transportation Specialist

(Located in Oldham County, LaGrange - Exit 22 from Hwy 71 - Cherrywood Subdivision)

As a Transportation Specialist, you will be assisting Residents with loading and unloading safely from facility approved vehicles. Ensures the safe transportation of Residents to scheduled medical appointments or other approved activities such as Resident outings, etc. Maintains the interior and exterior of facility vehicles to promote safe and comfortable transport for the Residents and project a positive image in the community.

Duties:

• Monitors vehicle maintenance logs and delivers vehicle for regularly scheduled maintenance such as oil changes, tire rotations, etc. All other duties as assigned.
• Must be flexible with work time (in the event a resident appointment or activity runs late.
• Must have training and be able to demonstrate safe clinical based transfer techniques for: Ingress Egress of Mobile Patients with Van Transfer of patients into and out of Wheelchair Properly securing WC bound residents into bays in Vans.
• Must be able to lift transfer and mobilize patient weights of up to 70 pounds by self in confined areas inside Van.
• Must be able to make complex decisions involving highly dependent patient base.
• This position has no supervisor responsibilities

Qualification Education and/or Experience :

• Minimum of a High School Diploma or a GED Minimum - 25 years old
• Must have a valid DL Must be familiar with GPS and local driving area .
• No Traffic Crimes in the last 7 years. DUI, DWS, Reckless Driving, No Traffic Felonies Multiple DUI, or DWS, Leaving Scene with Injuries, Assault with Vehicle Not more than 2 moving violations in 3 years Not more than one accident in 3 years
• Must Pass a drug screen and background check Language Skills Ability to read, write and understand job related instructions and manuals Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, coworkers, and residents.
• Must have successfully completed the CNA / (SRNA) training certification and maintain all CE requirements for KBN certification renewals.
• Mathematical Skills: Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical situations.
• Reasoning Ability: Ability to solve practical problems. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

• To perform this job successfully, an individual must be proficient in the Microsoft Suite products.
