Richwood Nursing & Rehab in Oldham County, KY seeks a Full-Time Transportation Specialist to assist residents with loading and unloading from facility vehicles and transport them to appointments and activities. Responsibilities include maintaining vehicle condition, logging maintenance, and ensuring safety during transfers.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, a valid driver's license, older than 25, and the ability to lift up to 75 pounds.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a high school diploma or GED.
• Must be at least 25 years old.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and be familiar with GPS/local driving area.
• No Traffic Crimes in last 7 years; DUI, DWS or related offenses may disqualify.
• Must Pass a drug screen and background check; CNA CE to maintain certification.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office products.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with loading/unloading from facility-approved vehicles.
• Safely transport residents to medical appointments or activities.
• Maintain interior and exterior of facility vehicles; monitor maintenance logs.
• Be flexible with work time for late resident appointments or activities.
• Demonstrate safe transfer techniques for residents and secure wheelchair-bound patients.
• Lift and mobilize resident weights up to 75 pounds.
• Make complex decisions for highly dependent residents.

Richwood Nursing & Rehab is seeking Full-Time Transportation Specialist

(Located in Oldham County, LaGrange - Exit 22 from Hwy 71 - Cherrywood Subdivision)

As a Transportation Specialist, you will be assisting Residents with loading and unloading safely from facility approved vehicles. Ensures the safe transportation of Residents to scheduled medical appointments or other approved activities such as Resident outings, etc. Maintains the interior and exterior of facility vehicles to promote safe and comfortable transport for the Residents and project a positive image in the community.

Duties:

Monitors vehicle maintenance logs and delivers vehicle for regularly scheduled maintenance such as oil changes, tire rotations, etc. All other duties as assigned.

Must be flexible with work time (in the event a resident appointment or activity runs late.

Must have training and be able to demonstrate safe clinical based transfer techniques for: Ingress Egress of Mobile Patients with Van Transfer of patients into and out of Wheelchair Properly securing WC bound residents into bays in Vans.

Must be able to lift transfer and mobilize patient weights of up to 70 pounds by self in confined areas inside Van.

Must be able to make complex decisions involving highly dependent patient base.

This position has no supervisor responsibilities

Qualification Education and/or Experience : Minimum of a High School Diploma or a GED Minimum – 25 years old

Must have a valid DL Must be familiar with GPS and local driving area.

No Traffic Crimes in the last 7 years. DUI, DWS, Reckless Driving, No Traffic Felonies Multiple DUI, or DWS, Leaving Scene with Injuries, Assault with Vehicle Not more than 2 moving violations in 3 years Not more than one accident in 3 years

Must Pass a drug screen and background check Language Skills Ability to read, write and understanding job related instructions and manuals Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, coworkers, and residents.

Mathematical Skills: Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical situations.

Reasoning Ability: Ability to solve practical problems. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be proficient in the Microsoft Suite products.

Must have successfully completed CNA training and maintain all CE to maintain certification.
